We were very sad to see Di Greenwood leave the Council after serving as Chairman for 9 years. Her knowledge and expertise will be sorely missed.
Following the resignation of Natasha Coe earlier this year we now welcome Jen O’Connell as a councillor but still need one other. If you think you may be interested and would like a bit more information as to what is involved, please contact Cathy who will be glad to chat to you about it. It would be particularly helpful to have someone else to represent Bardfield Saling.

Cathy still has a rota of volunteers to help out during the current Covid-19 crisis, so please contact her if you need any help with shopping, prescriptions or anything else during lock down.

We are still trying hard to get something done about the terrible state of the byways and footpaths around Bardfield Saling. We are speaking with Essex Highways and our Councillors Paul Euesden & Graham Butland to see what can be done about them. Byways obviously come low on their priorities whilst the roads are full of potholes, but some of these byways are now almost impassable. We are also looking into the possibility of obtaining a temporary re-classification of PRoWs to prevent off road vehicle use during the current crisis. We will keep you updated.
