Agenda for the Meeting on the 24th of November 2021

SALINGS PARISH COUNCIL

 

Members of the Council are hereby summoned to attend a meeting to be held at the Village Hall, Great Saling on Wednesday, 24th November 2021 commencing at 7:00pm for the purpose of transacting the following business:

 

The meeting will be open to the public unless the Council directs otherwise.

 

AGENDA

  1. Apologies for Absence.

 

  1. To receive member’s declarations of interest and dispensations in items on the agenda.

Dispensations should be requested from the Clerk up to the day before the meeting.

 

  1. Minutes: Acceptance of the minutes of the Meeting of the Parish Council on the 27th of October 2021

 

  1. Public participation session with respect to items on the agenda and other matters that are of mutual interest or local concern: A maximum of 15 minutes shall be allowed for public question time and it is requested each member of the public speak for a maximum of 3 minutes.

 

  1. Report from the Clerk: An update on any matters arising from the last meeting (Appendix I)

 

  1. District and/or County Councillor: To receive a report

 

  1. Shooting: To discuss the issues locally regarding shooting.

 

  1. Parking: To discuss parking issues on The Street.

 

  1. Election of a Vice Chair:
  2. To agree to elect a vice chair
  3. To receive the signed declaration of acceptance of office.

 

  1. Wethersfield Airbase Proposals:
  2. To agree two members to represent the Council on the Wethersfield Airbase Scrutiny Committee
  3. To agree a contribution towards the costs incurred by the Wethersfield Airbase Scrutiny Committee.

 

  1. Parish Ranger: To agree the specification for the role.

 

  1. Celebrations:
  2. To receive an update on the queens platinum jubilee
  3. To discuss Christmas plans

 

  1. Grass Cutting: To agree the grass cutting tender document.

 

  1. War memorial: To discuss progress with the project.

 

  1. Delegated Powers: To consider delegation of Council decisions to the Clerk, after confirmation from a minimum of 3 councillors, during any period of restricted activity declared by the Government in respect of the Covid-19 virus. Such delegation is to enable the Council to fulfil its responsibilities to its residents.

 

  1. Policies: To approve the following policies:
  2. Draft Standing Orders
  3. Draft Financial Regulations
  • Physical Document Retention Policy

 

  1. Finance:
  2. To receive the financial report and approve payments (Appendix II)

 

  1. Items from Councillors to be added to the next agenda.

 

  1. Next Parish Council Meeting: The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held on the 26th of January 2022
